ABOUT NLSP

Founded by Brian Centrone (Publisher)  and Jordan M. Scoggins (Creative Director) in 2012, New Lit Salon Press  is a stylish, independent 21st-century press based on the principle  that Words and Art can and should coexist. We believe literary art need  not be stuffy and aim to bring an approachable vibe to excellent  writing, always served with a dash of humor and a wink and a nod. We  publish emerging and established writers and artists who share this  vision. We believe in what you do.

The world of publishing has changed.  NLSP not only recognises that but embraces it. We publish carefully  crafted books because we believe great art and writing deserves to be  presented beautifully. All of our titles are available in affordable  paperback editions and electronic form.

With over 30 collective years of  experience in creative, publishing, technology, and academic fields, we  bring a unique skill set to the table. Our comprehensive approach is  designed to nurture new and unheard talent in ways most publishers do  not. Like many small presses, NLSP is a labor of love. Any profits we  make support the press so we can continue to offer new opportunities to  showcase your work. We love what we do (and hope you do too).

We are writers. We are artists. We are NLSP and we create books.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

We welcome simultaneous submissions. However, please let us know in your cover letter and notify us in a jiffy if your work is accepted elsewhere.

We will let you know if your work is accepted or declined. If you haven't heard from us after a couple of months, feel free to send a query.

All work submitted remains the property of the author/artist.

As a small indie press, we can currently offer payment in the form of one complimentary copy of the e-book and print edition, and a contributor’s discount for the print edition. But we'll also send lots of love your way with links to your website and promotion on our social media. Best of all, you'll be part of the NLSP family!
